Mystery thing on Australian beach
n unidentified object that washed up on an Australian beach has been identified as debris from an Indian rocket. The object, which is approximately the size of a small car and covered in barnacles, was discovered in mid-July in Green Head, a town located 250 kilometers north of Perth. The Australian Space Agency has confirmed that the object is most likely debris from an expended third stage of a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) operated by the Indian Space Research Organization. The object, measuring 2 meters in height and with cables dangling from the top, is currently being stored while officials from both countries work together to confirm its origin and determine next steps, including any obligations under the United Nations space treaties.
